This site measures visits with Google Analytics, and the contact form sends what you type to us by email through Web3Forms. We use it to understand how the site is used and to reply to you. The optional demo console keeps anything you enter in your own browser.
This page describes what metisai.in collects, why, who processes it on our behalf, and the rights you have over it under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Who we are
METIS is an AI product studio. For this website, METIS decides why and how your personal data is processed, which makes us the Data Fiduciary for it. You can reach us about anything on this page at info@metisai.in.
What we collect
When you browse the site
The pages of this site load Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, as soon as they open. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) and records which pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We see this as aggregated reports on how the site is used. It does not tell us who you are. If you do not want your visits measured, see how to opt out below.
When you use the contact form
The form on the contact page asks for your name, your email address, your company (optional), the area you are interested in, and your message. When you press send, your browser submits these fields to Web3Forms, a form-processing service, which forwards them to us as an email at info@metisai.in.
When you email us
If you write to info@metisai.in directly, we receive your email address, your name if your email client includes it, and whatever you choose to write.
What stays on your device
If you switch between light and dark mode, the site remembers your choice in your browser's local storage under the key metis-theme. It is never sent to us.
If you try the demo console
The site also hosts an interactive demo console. It does not load Google Analytics. If you enter an API key for an AI provider (Groq or Google Gemini), the key and your settings are saved in your browser's local storage, and the key and the prompts you run are sent directly from your browser to the provider you pick, under that provider's own terms. None of it is sent to us.
Why we use it
- Analytics: to understand which pages are useful, how people find the site, and what to improve.
- Contact form and email: only to read your enquiry and reply to you, including any follow-up about that enquiry.
We do not use what you send through the form for any other purpose.
Who processes it for us
- Google (Google Analytics 4) processes browsing data under Google's own terms and privacy policy.
- Web3Forms receives contact-form submissions and relays them to our inbox.
- Our email provider stores the messages we receive at info@metisai.in.
Fonts, script libraries and some images on this site load from third-party servers, including Google Fonts and the unpkg content delivery network. As with any request a browser makes, those servers receive your IP address and basic browser details in order to deliver the file.
Some of these providers process data outside India. The DPDP Act permits this unless the Central Government restricts transfers to a particular country.
How long we keep it
Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account and then deleted by Google. Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to reply to you and handle any follow-up about that enquiry. We delete them when they are no longer needed for that purpose.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us:
- for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we have processed it;
- to correct, complete or update it;
- to erase it, where we no longer need it for the purpose it was given;
- to withdraw consent you have given, for example to our keeping an enquiry you sent, after which we stop processing that data;
- to act on a grievance about how we have handled it;
- to record someone you nominate to exercise these rights for you in the event of your death or incapacity.
Email info@metisai.in with your request. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
To stop Google Analytics measuring your visits, you can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
